Listen on Bandcamp ↗Underground techno, acid pressure, industrial rhythm and hardware-driven electro. A decade deep in the South West underground.
Antiself, real name Blair, is a DJ and producer based in the South West of England, working at the intersection of underground techno, electro and breakbeat.
With over a decade of involvement in the region’s electronic music scene, he has helmed the dance! dance! dance! collective and held residencies at Plymouth’s legendary Wonkeylegs.
His productions are rooted in underground, unfiltered electronic music, leaning into acid techno, industrial rhythm and hardware-driven electro.
His catalogue includes the Acid Slap EP, Ill Gotten Gains EP and the Machine Experiment series, with releases on Hydraulix, Bass Agenda and Filth Infatuated Digital. His productions have received support from Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Dax J, Cristian Varela and I Hate Models.
As Polyrhythm, Blair explores deeper, more intricate electronic sounds through a radio show and techno events across Devon, including nights at Torquay’s Attic. He is also one half of Boglin, an industrial techno duo with Loukas Pour-Hashemi.
From tough, industrial rhythms to stripped-back, percussive territory, Antiself brings his own productions into his DJ sets, keeping the studio and dancefloor closely connected.
A sound shaped by uncompromising warehouse techno, restless electro and the physical pull of broken rhythms. Antiself’s sets and productions move between pressure and detail, with a focus on texture, momentum and raw machine energy.
